When the cashier scans a patient's prescription, all other prescriptions associated with that patient are displayed as well. This prevents complaints from customers who would have to drive back to get a prescription and it gives the cashier a positive responsibility for making sure every prescription that is ready for a customer is picked up.

It is easy to retrieve and print a log for any period of time that shows who picked up which prescriptions - handy both for inquiring customers and third-party audits.
